AP Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year
Published Jan 06, 2009
The Saints' Drew Brees and the Steelers' James Harrison have been named the players of the year by the Associated Press. These two outstanding athletes were chosen by a nationwide panel of broadcasters and sports writers. Drew Brees is only the second quarterback in NFL history to surpass the 5,000 yard passing mark. Harrison also broke records by setting the highest number of sacks (16) by a Steeler's player in one season. Congrats to both players for having an extraordinary season.
